Simple 10-Step Guide
Bake Sale
1. Download and fill in your fundraising pack
Set out a clear plan and utilise the BLS marketing and promotional material.
2. Pick a Date & Location
Select a day that doesn’t clash with other local events. A busy community spot like a park, school hall, or market area works best. Or speak to event organisers about having a stall at their event.
3. Gather Your Team
Invite friends, family, and neighbours to help with baking, setting up, and selling.
4. Plan Your Menu
Offer a mix of treats, cakes, cookies, brownies, gluten-free and vegan options to appeal to everyone.
5. Promote the Event
Spread the word through social media, local notice boards, flyers, and word of mouth.
6. Organise Supplies
Make sure you have tables, display stands, napkins, price labels, and a cash box (or contactless payment option).
7. Bake & Package
Prepare your goods the day before for freshness. Wrap items neatly and label allergens clearly.
8. Set Up Early
Arrive with enough time to arrange your stall attractively, colourful tablecloths and signs help draw people in.
9. Engage with Visitors
Be friendly, share the story behind your cause, and encourage donations beyond purchases.
10. Thank & Follow Up
After the event, thank your helpers and supporters. Share how much was raised and how it will help your cause.
