Supporting Those Who Protect Us – Funded by Justice, Powered by Community
A New Vision for Police Support
Every day, police officers, staff, and volunteers put themselves in harm’s way to keep our communities safe. Yet behind the badge are real people, parents, partners, friends, who sometimes face injury, trauma, or loss as a result of their service. The National Police Trust Fund is a bold proposal to ensure that those who protect us are never left without the care, resources, and recognition they deserve.
How It Works
We propose that 10% of the annual Proceeds of Crime seizures, money recovered from criminal activity, be allocated directly to the Trust.
This means
Criminal wealth is reinvested into protecting and supporting the very people who fight crime.
No additional burden on taxpayers.
A sustainable, year-on-year funding stream for police charities and welfare initiatives.
Who Will Benefit
The Trust will provide grants and resources to:
Police charities offering mental health support, rehabilitation, and hardship assistance.
Families of fallen officers, ensuring they receive financial and emotional support.
Injured officers and staff, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.
Community-police initiatives that strengthen trust and safety.
Why This Matters
Officer Welfare: Assaults, injuries, and mental health challenges are rising.
Charity Strain: Many police charities are underfunded and overstretched.
Public Good: Strong, supported police forces mean safer communities for everyone.
By redirecting a small portion of criminal assets, we can create a lasting legacy of care and resilience for those who serve.
Transparency & Oversight
The National Police Trust Fund will be managed by an independent committee, including representatives from:
Police charities
Serving and retired officers
Community leaders
Financial and legal experts
Annual reports will ensure full transparency on how funds are allocated and the impact they deliver.
