Blue Light Wargames
Building Community, Creativity, and Wellbeing Through the Power of Play
Blue Light Wargames is a unique charitable initiative dedicated to supporting the physical and mental health of our blue light workers, including emergency service personnel, volunteers, civil servants and armed forces, and their families, through the immersive and inclusive world of tabletop wargaming.
With a brand-new hobby club launching in Corby, Northamptonshire, we’re creating a welcoming space where people can come together, share stories, and enjoy a hobby that stimulates the mind, fosters friendships, and offers a sense of achievement, all without the physical demands of traditional sports.
For many in the blue light community, especially those who are sick, injured, or living with disabilities, regular sporting activities can be challenging or even impossible.
Wargaming offers an accessible alternative that still delivers many of the same benefits
Mental Stimulation – Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and creativity keep the mind active and engaged.
Social Connection – A friendly, inclusive environment where camaraderie and shared interests help combat isolation.
Stress Relief – Immersive gameplay provides a healthy escape from the pressures of work and daily life.
Creative Expression – Painting miniatures, designing battlefields, and storytelling allow for artistic fulfilment.
Our passion for the hobby extends beyond the gaming table
Blue Light Wargames proudly offers a large range of brand-new and exclusive 3D-printed terrain and scenery, all designed in-house by our talented team and printed on-site.
Every purchase directly supports our adaptive sports and activities programmes, helping members of the blue light community and their families access tailored activities that suit their abilities.
Whether you’re a seasoned tabletop general or completely new to the hobby, Blue Light Wargames is here to provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where everyone can play, create, and belong.
