First Annual Charity Firewalk 2026
Hosted by Blue Light Sports Foundation in Partnership with Firewalk UK
Sunday 6 December, 4:00pm, Corby, Northamptonshire
One Walk. One Community. One Life-Changing Mission.
Do you have the courage to walk across fire and change lives?
Join the Blue Light Sports Foundation (BLS) and Firewalk UK for an unforgettable evening of inspiration, achievement, community spirit, and fundraising as we host the First Annual Charity Firewalk in Corby, Northamptonshire.
This unique and exhilarating experience will see participants walk barefoot across red-hot embers under the expert guidance of the professional team at Firewalk UK, all while raising vital funds to support one of the most ambitious and important projects for the UK's blue light community.
Our goal is to raise £150,000 to establish the first BLS Adaptive Sports Centre in Corby, creating a dedicated facility that will support sick, injured, disabled, and medically retired blue light personnel and their families through the power of adaptive sport and physical activity.
Why This Event Matters
Every day, members of our emergency and volunteer services, and armed forces place themselves in harm's way to keep our communities safe.
Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency call handlers, prison officers, coastguard personnel, and all branches of the civil service and armed forces, plus all of the volunteers serving in their communities, and other blue light workers regularly face physical injuries, mental health challenges, life-changing disabilities, and long-term health conditions as a result of their service.
For many, access to inclusive sporting opportunities, rehabilitation activities, social networks, and community support can be limited.
The Blue Light Sports Foundation believes that no member of the blue light family should ever feel isolated, excluded, or unable to participate because of illness, injury, or disability.
The proposed BLS Adaptive Sports Centre in Corby will provide a dedicated, fully accessible environment where members of the blue light community can:
Participate in adaptive sports and physical activities
Improve physical wellbeing and rehabilitation outcomes
Build confidence and resilience
Reconnect with their community
Combat loneliness and social isolation
Improve mental health and overall wellbeing
Access peer support and social opportunities
Rebuild purpose and self-belief through sport
By taking part in this Firewalk, you are helping turn that vision into reality.
Our Ambition
The Corby centre will be the first of its kind delivered by the Blue Light Sports Foundation.
However, this is just the beginning.
Our goal is to establish a sustainable fundraising model where an annual Firewalk is held to support each new Adaptive Sports Centre. The success of the Corby event will help create a blueprint for developing additional centres across the United Kingdom, ensuring that more disabled, injured, and vulnerable members of the blue light community can access life-changing support regardless of where they live.
Every participant becomes part of a national movement that has the potential to transform thousands of lives.
The Challenge
Walking across fire is not about physical toughness.
It is about mindset.
It is about overcoming fear, breaking through perceived limitations, and proving to yourself that you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.
Before the walk, participants will receive a comprehensive motivational and training session delivered by Firewalk UK's experienced instructors. They will guide you through proven techniques designed to build confidence and prepare you for this extraordinary experience.
Then comes the moment you will never forget.
The moment you step forward.
The moment you walk across fire.
The moment you realise what is possible when courage overcomes doubt.
