Simple 10-Step Guide
Guessing Game
1. Download and fill in your fundraising pack
Set out a clear plan and utilise the BLS marketing and promotional material.
2. Select a Container
Use a clear jar or box so people can see the contents but not easily count them.
3. Count the Contents
Carefully count the exact number and record it somewhere safe (only organisers should know).
4. Set the Rules
Decide on the entry fee (e.g., £1 per guess), how many guesses per person, and the prize for the winner.
5. Pick a Prize
Choose something appealing — the jar itself, a gift voucher, or a themed hamper.
6. Create a Display
Make a sign with the game name, rules, entry fee, and charity cause. Keep it bright and inviting.
7. Collect Guesses
Provide slips or a sheet for people to write their name, contact details, and guess.
8. Promote the Game
Share it at your event, workplace, school, or online to attract more participants.
9. Announce the Winner
At the end, reveal the correct number and congratulate the closest guesser.
10. Thank Everyone
Publicly thank participants and share how much was raised for the charity.
