Blue Light Sports Arenas

Regional Adaptive Sports Centres supporting injured, sick and disabled emergency and volunteer service personnel, civil servants and armed forces, and their families. Providing opportunities within the local community for collaborative events bringing blue light and community groups together.

Mission Statement

To honour and empower our service heroes and their families by providing an inclusive, adaptive sports and wellbeing centre that supports recovery, builds resilience, and fosters community, ensuring that those who have given so much to protect others have every opportunity to heal, thrive, and live life to the fullest.

Project Details

Each centre will provide a base of operations for the region, deliver adaptive sports programmes, sports teams, and community based programmes to meet the needs of the sick, injured and disabled emergency and volunteer services, civil service and armed forces communities, their families and local residents.

The centres will be a dedicated, inclusive facility designed to support sick, injured, and disabled communities, through tailored physical activity, rehabilitation, and community engagement.

Each centre will combine specialist rehabilitation equipment, accessible sports facilities, and expert-led adaptive fitness programmes to help individuals regain strength, improve mobility, and enhance overall wellbeing. It will feature fully accessible sports and leisure activities, accessible climbing zones and crazy golf course, adaptive sports courts, and multi-use spaces for both physical and social activities.

Beyond physical recovery, the centres will foster emotional resilience and peer connection by creating a safe, welcoming environment where service workers and their loved ones can share experiences, build friendships, and access mental health support.

By integrating inclusive design principles, family-friendly amenities, and specialist coaching, the Adaptive Sports Centres will not only aid recovery but also celebrate the courage and service of those who protect our communities, ensuring they and their families have the resources, respect, and support they deserve.

Hiring the Centres

Sports clubs, organisations, businesses and charities will be able to hire the centres for events. With all proceeds going directly towards funded programmes to support the community within the region.

Blue LIght Sports Foundation is a charity and will offer charity rates to all eligible charitable organisations, as well as competitive rates to all others who wish to use the space for their events.

Our vision for the centres

Blue Light Sports Arenas will be able to provide a dynamic space for multiple uses, and will also host special events throughout the year to support many communities across the region. Here are just some of the ideas we have had to promote the site.

Funding the Project

Each centre will cost approximately £2,000,000.00

With 14 centres across the UK in planning, the overall cost is estimated at £28,000,000.00

This level of funding is required to not only open the doors to each centre but also purchase all of the necessary sports installations, flooring and equipment, renovate the grounds to make every area accessible, as well as all of the licences, insurances, rates and staffing costs to provide a sustainable platform for delivering the adaptive rehabilitation sports programmes within the community for the entire region.

Below is a map of the United Kingdom, which has been divided into the Blue Light Sports Regions, with an identified location where we plan to open each centre.

How you can help

You can Purchase a Digital Brick to donate to the project for any region

We have a fantastic way in which members of the public and businesses can support the build of the project, through purchasing 'digital bricks' as a way of making a donation to any of the regions you would like to support.

Every brick represents someone who believes in what we are building. Your donation helps to create a dedicated home for adaptive and inclusive sports, giving people of all abilities the opportunity to train, compete and connect.

Add your brick to the pile and help to lay the foundations, becoming a lasting legacy of the first Blue Light Arena, Adaptive Sports Centre.

Digital Community Bricks

Why We Need You

Right now, thousands of people with disabilities face limited access to sports facilities that truly meet their needs. The Blue Light Sports Arena will change that, offering:

Adaptive equipment for all abilities

Inclusive coaching from trained professionals

Safe, welcoming spaces for families and friends

Community events that celebrate diversity in sport

But dreams like this don’t happen alone. They’re built brick by brick, and that’s where you come in.

Buy a Digital Brick, Leave Your Mark

For just £1 per brick, you can help lay the foundation for the first Blue Light Sports Arena.

Each digital brick you purchase will:

Bring us closer to opening our doors

Display your name (or dedication) on our Virtual Wall of Champions

Show the world you believe in sport for everyone

Whether you buy one brick or a whole wall, every contribution is a step toward a future where no one is left on the sidelines.

Your Brick, Their Future

When you buy a brick, you’re not just funding a building, you’re funding:

A child’s first wheelchair basketball game

A veteran’s return to competitive sport

A community’s pride in seeing everyone included
